Fishing Trossachs

6th August

August 6th, 2007

Dries and wets have both worked well this week but some of the best boats have used the ‘Leven pull’ method coupled with DI 5 lines and had great results. Again some of the deep water drifts have produced good sport. Phillip Bryant had the best bag of the week with 10 fish to his rod (3 returned) 7 for 7lb 3oz. He caught his fish from 5 drifts including Road Shore, Lendrick Point, Grahavie Bay and Otter Island. His best flies were size 12s’ straggle dabblers.

The West Lothian Fly Dressers had a good outing with their 3 boats catching 15 fish for 17lbs 6oz with Philip Bryant (above) having the best basket.Straggle Dabblers, claret Snatchers, Deer Hair Sedge, Clan Chief and the claret bumble are all doing well and the top drifts have been the Road Shore, Lendrick Point, Grahavie Bay Otter Island and Boat House Bay.
