Fishing Trossachs

3rd September

September 3rd, 2007

Better conditions over the past week helped catches improve and most drifts have fished well. Many anglers have done well using floating lines and size 12’s and 10’s traditionals. September is usually one of the best months of the season and with good condition’s we expect to see large catches of both natural and stocked brownies.Featuring amongst those doing well were the Gulls Nest AC, 3 boats, 8 fish for 9lbs 12oz - best rod Peter King with 5 fish for 6lbs 2oz. The best taking flies have been the Doobry, Kee Hee, Kate McLaren and the Wickham’s Fancy and the top drifts were Portnellan, Beetle Bay, Grass banks, Grahavie Bay and Lendrick Point.
